First Snow of the Season

Yesterday, on Halloween, a very slushy 3 inches of snow fell rapidly, finally delivering some precipitation and cooler weather to an otherwise warm and dry autumn in Minnesota.

A female Wood Duck showed up briefly under the bird feeder. Wonder if she was part of my spring flock that regularly visited my hopper feeder?

This morning was crisp with bright sunlight shining through ground fog that blanketed the low areas.
