This is the time of year when the web cams featuring nesting eagles and owls are active in the US. It is fun to check in to see the progress that these high resolution cameras will show right on your computer. It is a great way to introduce children and grandchildren to the wonders of these magnificent birds!

Decorah Eagles - North Nest - Incubating 2 eggs that should hatch in about a week
Trempealeau Eagles - Just finished laying 3 eggs that will hatch in a month
Decorah Eagles - Fourth egg laid today in neglected eagle’s nest that now oddly serves as a high nesting platform for a pair of Canada Geese
If you are wondering about the strange goose nest behavior, it has happen before which I posted about two years ago:
Mother Goose Nesting in a Penthouse
For the second year in a row, a Canada Goose is nesting 70 feet high in an eagle’s nest. This mother goose has already laid two eggs so far and you can watch all the action on the Explore.org webcam.
Yes these geese are really pioneers with their nesting behavior. On one hand they do not have to worry about coyotes, raccoons and other predators getting easy access to the eggs in a ground nest but on the other hand their newly hatched goslings have to experience the dangers in dropping 70 feet to the ground.
That’s crazy about the Canada Goose nesting in an eagle nest! Thanks for sharing the others to watch. 👍🏼
