From the Raptor Resource web cams in Decorah Iowa, there is a bald eagle nest that is on the verge of hatching. Two eggs were laid mid-February and will hatch by the end of the month.
The other two Decorah eagle nests appear to be taken over by Canada Geese. This started a couple of years ago when a Goose pair used an eagle nest to hatch a brood of goslings who, at 24 hours old, had to jump 70 feet down to begin their life on the ground.
And this year another pair of geese decided to take over another unused eagle’s nest in the region.
Heading further west, the Sandhill Crane web cam has been showing the cranes battling the unsettled weather coming out of the Rockies. Although there is no snow, there has been plenty of wind that the cranes have had to contend with. You can watch this at the Audubon web cam.

I guess the Eagles did not establish an HOA. If they had, they could have specified who could "rent" or "lease" their space. On the other hand, perhaps the Eagles understand that affordable housing is in short supply and so they have extended their kindness to their bird friends.
